I love this hotel. it is really tastefully decorated with lovely rooms with great views.It has two really nice swimming pools plus a jacuzzi and little kids’ pool (there may be an indoor pool too but I never saw it). There are different activities laid on during the week such as pool biking, pool aerobics and stretching and poolside yoga which are very enjoyable (these are for adults).Breakfast is great with a lot of choice and all the staff are fantastic, very professional and friendly, especially the waiters at dinner.I had one tiny issue at the hotel and it was dealt with absolutely professionally by one of the manageresses. I was very impressed with her handling of the matter and I get the impression that this is a really well-run hotel.The hotel has a bit of an old-world feel to it and it is perfect for a relaxing holiday, chilling out by the pool. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, this hotel is not for you as it tends to be quiet and is mainly visited by older couples and a few families with young children. If you are looking for a lovely, restful break, I highly recommend it.

Our third visit to the Gran Tacande but equally as brilliant as the first two. As ever the service is outstanding, which is one of the main reasons for continuing to return. From Julianna’s warm and welcoming greeting on arrival to her attentive, smiley and bubbly nature throughout our stay, she made us feel like VIPs. The staff who welcome us to meals were always on form and pleased to see us, greeting us with smiles and jokes before showing us to our clean and comfortable tables. All waiters and waitresses made sure we were never without a drink or good food and all other staff are just as helpful, welcoming and friendly. The room is a pleasure to stay in with wonderful views from the balcony. We are already looking forward to returning next October.

Great friendly service. Our 3rd visit to hotel. It is nice that some staff remembered us from last year. Laura in Restaurant was lovely. Victoria in guest experience always helped us with a smile. The chef doing eggs and steaks at night always waved to us and said hello. It is like being at home.

We had a great time here the hotel is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful, obviously well trained. Check in was wonderful with a full explanation of the hotel and services explained. The reason I have marked service down a little is because housekeeping left our door open and the patio door unlocked one day, it was lucky that nothing was stolen in my opinion and quite worrying to come back from a day out to find your doors open. I did report the incident but I wasn’t convinced that it was taken very seriously.Apart from that the hotel and food are excellent.

The hotel was fantastic, Lorena from the animation team was excellent, the hotel entertainment was excellent and the food for both breakfast and evening meal were excellent! One evening they had fresh oysters! The hotel is perfectly placed to take advantage of the beach and local restaurants! The service in the rooms was outstanding. We had a great holiday!

Hi,The hotel is beautiful, well located. All the equipments and amenities are kept in excellent conditions (e.g. fitness center with all functional devices). All the staff are very nice (special thanks to Felipe at the San Sebastian Plaza). The place has an excellent peaceful vibe. There is entertainment but it is never intrusive. Never lound music by the pool which is rare these days! The check-out is quite early (11h00) but you have the possibility for courtesy room later to get changed before leaving to the airport. Very convenient car rental with Avis straight from the lobby.

Fantastic hotel and stay. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, great service. Restaurant food is superb with huge choice. We have here stayed before but this time went for Gold level and have no regrets. The terrace area was so relaxing and peaceful, plenty of sunbeds, lovely warm jacuzzi infinity pool. We will definitely be back.. gold level.

Carolina from guest services was great. Always super helpful, friendly and checking to see how our trip was going. Always had a smile on her face!Vanessa working at the San Sebastian Plaza was fantastic and provided great service during our stay.The room is great with the pool just outside. Ideal for families as you can enjoy the sun while the kids are napping.We did stay here in 2019 and the rooms could do with a little maintenance. The railing into the pool was a little shakey and a few things in the room itself were worn down .

This place was so beautiful and put on so many fun activities each day, we went to a wine and chocolate tasting session which was really great, there's also tennis, yoga and musical performances. The spa is incredible, my partner and I had a couples massage which was 10/10. The food is wonderful and the chefs are lovely!! Would definitley return, perfect stay!

Great experience at this hotel. Room was very spacious and facilities were excellent. Pool area quiet and relaxed with loungers well spaced out. Good friendly and efficient service at the bars. A quiet location but a short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. We’ll be back!

Not cheap, but an incredibly well managed hotel in an excellent location. Well equipped and serviced rooms with nice touches like free transfers, the bottle of fizz and chocolates in the room on arrival, a complementary first night meal and a glass of Moet all contribute to a relaxed arrival experience.Excellent staff who are managed well and know what they’re doing makes a refreshing change.

Sadly after 4 great days the experience became poor as the exclusive San Sebastián Terrace. A quiet exclusive area to read and relax descended into a chaotic kids club.Totally unsupervised kids allowed to bob around in nappies and water wings whiskey parents enjoyed the free drinks.The u12 supervised rule is not implemented and for 2 days it was impossible to get near the infinity pool as parents used it to allow a free for all for their children.Every other aspect of the hotel is fantastic but this area cannot be advertised as anything other than kids chaos.Lots of adult only guests packed up their towels and headed off the terrace to seek quiet.

8 people went on a family vacation. The hotel room was in perfect condition and the staff was prompt and responsive. We had parents in their 80s and three kids, and they were happy with the experience.Virginia was especially friendly and always ready to help customers even though she was always busy working. I especially appreciate Virginia and her attentiveness.The only reason for the one star is the restaurant. I can't say who, but there is an employee who pretends to be friendly to the guests but in the end wants a tip (money).

We had a great time! Our waiter Cosmin was very friendly and attentive and helped us choose great wine from the hotel selection. Location is also great, very close to a nice beach!Food could be slightly better at dinner in terms of quality, there’s wide choice but not many good dishes.

Amazing, clean, location perfect. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels on the island, but this one will take some beating. Good food choice, better than most of the best restaurants on the island. Highly recommend this hotel. The personal touch around the gold rooms is worth the extra 👍👍👍👍👍

Cannot fault the service at this hotel from when we first arrived until we left, the staff were exceptional and very friendly. The rooms were spotless and the food at the restaurant was top class. For buffet style food, everything was super fresh and you could get steaks, fish, chicken pork etc... all cooked fresh and to order. The cleanliness and variety of food was second to none. We were a couple on a break from the kids and I have to say we had a lovely, relaxing time and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Sadly so far, rather underwhelmed and disappointed……seen the standard response from Hotel on my review and concerns. We are here now for another 10 days but zero contact from anyone at Hotel. No reply on my Spa comment I note 😩Main pool for a 5 star property is in very poor condition and needs massive refurbishment. Staff say it’s been like this since COVID which is amazing given cost to stay here! Seems much investment is needed here to be a true 5 star Hotel going forwards. Have stayed locally before so feel I maybe made poor decision on hotel for this family holiday

Nice & friendly staff in hotel make me feel warm & happy. The swimming pool is not crowded at all, but peaceful. So that’s why I perfectly enjoy my holidays in Gran Tacande. Especially the receptionist lady with glasses was so helpful and friendly. (Forgot the lady’s name. Sorry about it 😭)Thank you for your great hospitality.Hope see you next year :)

Excellent hotel, so much so that we’ve visited 2 years in a row. The location is perfect as you’re walking distance from lots of bars and restaurants, there are also a couple of beaches close by. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with lots of choice and the food is good quality. The pool area is spacious and clean with plenty of sun beds. The rooms are large and the beds are extremely comfortable, the maids do an excellent job keeping the room and public areas clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Honestly hands down one of the best places I have ever stayed. Myself and my partner have come back this year for the 2nd time as we loved it so much the first.The location is great, not far from airport, beach 2 min walk and 10-15 min walk to the main row of restaurants. Also bars and restaurants nearby but we had half board so ate mostly at the hotel. Food at the hotel is excellent quite a lot of variety!We opted for an upgrade on the room to gold level this year and worth it. The perks and extras you get are well worth the money. You get access to an exclusive pool, bar with certain unlimited drinks and snacks. We can even go in the spa to use their facilities. However year before was still as great when wasn’t golf level with the side sea view room if you want the cheaper holiday :)The rooms are clean and beds are comfy.Staff go out their way to make you feel welcomed and are so friendly.

One of the best hotels we have had the pleasure to stay at. Rooms are very spacious and cleaned to a high standard. The pool areas are well kept, with plenty of sun loungers and parasols so no silly o’clock rush for beds! All the staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you to make your stay special. The roof top bar has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with views along the coast, it also hosts a number of evening entertainment including singers and music. Manuel makes sure you are kept refreshed whilst you enjoy the show.

Third time visiting as family of 4 with two kids. Excellent staff on front desk and in the buffet restaurant. Special mention to Carolina and Johnny. . All staff are Very friendly and care about their guests. An excellent spa too, which is included in some packages. Wide variety of pools. Gold level is worth the extra expense with snacks and drinks provided throughout the day at separate pool area. Kids club provided for 2-3 hours a day which gives some quiet time to parents and kids enjoy the experience too. Look forward to returning again.

A stunning hotel that is absolutley pristine. The cleanliness is top tier. The rooms are incredibly spacious.As many other reviews have mentioned, the staff are brilliant here. Incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly - all this adds to a wonderful atmosphere at the hotel.The spa is in perfect condition, it looks brand new and is spotless. Incredibly well priced ($17 for two hours use of the facilities). We treated ourselves to two couples massages and they were both amazing. If you are staying here, I strongly recommend factoring in some holiday spend for the spa massages.Honestly, not a single negative I can think of. Thank you to all the staff here for making this holiday so special.

Pros: Hotel Staff are friendly, helpful & professional. Kids entertainment team Lorena & Mabi are brilliant & quality of food is good. Hotel rooms are also of a good size and the the hotel is in a very nice locationCons: Parts of the hotel are starting to look tired, especially around the pool area. The wooden planking is lifting and the main pool has seen better days! The pools are salt water, which is probably better for the skin than chlorine but most prefer chlorine to salt. The restaurant outside area also needs the glass roof cleaning. The food although good is repetitive! You have 3 main stations that cook food to your liking but the options at these stations are generally the same every night! With Chinese being a main stay of the self service 7 out of the 10 nights we stayed, this needs mixing up more.Overall: A great family holiday with friendly staff and guests from a variety of nations, with a few finishing touches required to polish up the hotel for the full 5 star experience

Stayed at Gran Tacande for 9 nights. We arrived late at night and reception staff were polite and friendly and clearly explained everything about the hotel. As we missed dinner, they arranged for some salads and fruit to be brought to our room. The room was nice and clean and modern (very good shower) and lovely view from the balcony. We really enjoyed our break here. The pool area and sunbeds are really good, plenty available. The food on offer at breakfast and dinner was great, plenty of choice and changed up frequently. Great location very close to the beach. Service from the staff definitely made our stay more enjoyable, special mention to Dodi who served us most nights at dinner. Great guy and great service. Manuel was also a great laugh at the pool bar. All of the staff are extremely attentive and happy.
